Cultivating Your Creative Well-being

January 2025

In an increasingly fast-paced and productivity-oriented world, dedicating time to our creative well-being is both a courageous and necessary choice. 2025 can be the year we decide to nurture our creative potential, not as a mere escape from the ordinary, but as a way to reconnect with ourselves and regain balance.

And why not imagine this journey as a project to build? As architects, we have applied the same principles to our creative well-being. Every element, from the foundation to the interior, plays an essential role.

Here are our resolutions for 2025: a tailor-made structure for well-being, inside and out.

The Foundation, or Time

The foundation of any building is what makes it solid and stable. Similarly, time is the base on which to build our creative well-being. Being aware of it means learning to slow down, to be present, and to appreciate it—even without doing anything. This empty space, often undervalued, is where the best projects are born. But also the time spent with others, the time for reflection and destruction.Time is needed for ideas to solidify, and we will try to give it to them.

The Framework: Art, Reading, and Beauty

The framework of a building holds every part together, and so we thought that for our creative well-being, art, reading, and culture could only play this role. Immersing ourselves in a good book, visiting an exhibition, or simply observing the architectural works of a city will help structure our imagination. How? Stories are like conceptual projects that help us create connections. Beauty teaches us proportion and balance, while cultural spaces strengthen our structure. Like the framework of a building, these experiences keep us grounded and allow us to grow.

The Roof: Nature

Nature is the covering that completes and protects the building. And what could it be, if not nature? Being outdoors, surrounded by natural elements, regenerates both mind and body. A walk in the mountains, an afternoon in the park, or a view over the sea offers that lightness that frees us from the chaos of daily life. Like a well-designed roof, nature envelops us and connects us to something larger: a perfect balance between beauty, functionality, and simplicity. Its shapes and colors, the light filtering through the forest, or the sinuous forms of the snow, become silent inspirations for any creative project

And the Interiors? Here Comes the Journey, with All the Places to Discover

If the foundation, the framework, and the roof are essential, the real life of a building takes place in the interiors, in the rooms we inhabit. These spaces can be seen as journeys: new and different places where we move, discover, and let our imagination flow. Traveling, whether to distant destinations or through small local explorations, fills every room in our minds with new impressions. It is both an architectural and sensory experience.

And Then? Is That All? Of Course Not, Because We Are Missing the Details.

Small daily gestures, a break dedicated to writing, a sketch in the notebook, a walk without a destination, are the finishing touches that make the entire project personal and unique. Creativity consists of moments: flashes where inspiration meets intuition, giving shape to something new.

An architect knows that every space must be designed in harmony with its inhabitant, but for this start to the year, we feel like broadening the perspective.

Even the creative space must be carefully nurtured and thoughtfully designed.
